It's
great to be a Lion--especially a LUBBOCK HUB LION!
Imagine our surprise when our club was
spotlighted as "CLUB OF THE MONTH" in the November
2009 issue of THE
LION magazine.

At Christmas time, our club purchased two
cases of peanut butter for distribution to the South Plains Food
Bank, made a donation to the Salvation Army, and made a
Christmas Eve delivery of clothes, gifts, and toys to a family
of four in Lubbock.
I am so proud of our
membership! Each member provides community
service--whether it is assisting residents with their cards
during our monthly bingo game at a local care center, mowing
yards for elderly persons, or picking
up trash on Highway 87 as part of the Texas Department of
Transportation's "Adopt-A-Highway" program.

3rd Mondays of each month. TIME: We gather for dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting usually begins
at 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Uncle's
Burgers (formerly Rooftop Cafe), 3300-C 82nd Street,
(82nd Street & Indiana Avenue) Lubbock, TX
The first meeting of the month is a regular meeting/Board of
Directors meeting and the second meeting of the month is a short
meeting followed by bingo at a local senior center.
